About Us

In 1999, three women with a shared history of working with individuals with developmental disabilities founded Supporting Alternative Solutions.

Through our collective work within social service agencies, we saw a need for an alternative to traditional residential programs. Our commitment and desire to support individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as our belief that all people deserve to live with respect and dignity, led us to create Supporting Alternative Solutions (SAS).
